Job Summary:
This Respiratory Therapist position requires floating between various units within a short-term acute care Level II Trauma and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. The role involves providing respiratory care to patients responding to codes and rapid responses and participating in floor care. Experience with various patient acuities and a commitment to teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities:
- Providing respiratory care to patients across various units (floor care ER).
- Responding to codes and rapid responses.
- Managing patients with varying acuities.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Respiratory Therapist license.
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in various respiratory care techniques.
- Ability to adapt to varying patient acuities and clinical needs.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior experience in a Level II Trauma Center or similar setting.
- Experience with various respiratory equipment and modalities.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced certifications (e.g. ACLS PALS).
Special Considerations:
- Weekend rotations are required (every other weekend).
- Block scheduling is used.
- The position requires floating between units.
- On-call duty is not required.
- 48-hour work schedules are approved.
