  • This position serves as an assistant to Probation and Parole Officer 1 2 3 and P&P Specialist. It may be utilized in all 21 district offices of the Division of Probation and Parole. Probation and Parole consists of 21 District Offices and three Regional Offices throughout the State of Louisiana and is responsible for the supervision of more than 57000 offenders with 753 total authorized positions.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of law enforcement investigatory or gaming regulation experience; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR

A bachelors degree.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws are granted.
