JOB SUMMARY
The GRS AI & Automation team within Regulatory Innovation Data Governance and Excellence (RIDGE) is at the forefront of shaping and driving AI and automation strategic initiatives that will have a profound impact on our global Regulatory value chain partner lines and stakeholders and deliver medicines and health information to patients faster.
The GRS RIDGE AI & Automation Manager will assist in the development and delivery of Global Regulatory Sciences (GRS) AI & Automation strategy roadmap and initiatives. This includes the focus on enablement and optimizations for our business capabilities to drive consistency efficiency and speed in ways of working across GRS including KPIs and value realization tracking. The role is:
Catalyst for innovative thinking in GRS helping support a virtual culture of risk-taking creativity and intelligent learning and works across GRS to execute cutting edge innovations experimentation and transformative projects.
Supports process forums and associated continuous improvement efforts to ensure processes are efficient and globally consistent.
Advocates for data quality and its relationship to business process and digital AI and automation solutions and acts as a facilitator to define implementation solutions..
Supports the development of AI & Automation strategies business cases and execution.
Leads small projects to improve efficiency quality and ways of working.
Assists with change management to ensure successful adoption of AI & automation initiatives.
Develops networks across AI & Automation partners internally and externally to ensure alignment collaboration and maximize outcomes.
The role will have a global view of GRS and be comfortable working across a range of deliverables from early research investigations through project design/management to effective implementation/adoption. The role is both an advocate for innovation as well as a champion for quality and delivery.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead small projects through business case development execution and successful adoption
Support medium and large projects through business case development execution and successful adoption.
Ensure projects/initiatives are aligned with the overall business needs while tracking progress of projects throughout their lifecycle.
Acts as an ambassador for GRS innovation raising visibility of innovative approaches across the company and driving partnership with valuable Pfizer initiatives.
Identify innovative concepts and lead the execution of experimentation initiatives including generating information needed to inform the decision if it should scale to a production asset.
Assist in defining vision strategy and performance objectives for the end-to-end processes and ensure proper process documentation is robust and accurate.
Where appropriate support the influencing of external standards organizations and vendors and ensure driving changes in external standards are incorporated in AI & Automation strategy and projects.
Assist in the definition and tracking of value realization measures from initiatives.
Hypothesis testing predictive modelling and impact assessment of emerging scenarios to ensure adequate resourcing
Assist in the development of effective knowledge management and communication techniques to organize and deliver training either personally or via network of trusted experts
Possess an interest and ability to learn new approaches techniques and technologies
Participate in periodic business reviews and planning sessions across portfolio of partners
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Bachelors degree (BS or BA) in related discipline or 4 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Related experience in other industries will be considered
Knowledge of the global regulatory environment (How this impacts shaping and driving AI and automation strategic initiatives and awareness of the functioning of the pharmaceutical industry)
Demonstrated strong analytical skills with ability to investigate and solve complex problems independently
Demonstrated strong customer relationship skills and capabilities to influence and collaborate with teams
Proven ability to communicate complex information and analyses to a variety of audiences in both verbal and written formats
Proven ability to operate in a fast paced environment and comfortable with working in situations with significant ambiguity
Proven ability to coordinate and/or support multiple complex projects simultaneously
Ability to develop productive networks and communities
Strategic thinking and negotiation skills
Proficiency with Pfizer AI tools and other working digital platforms (e.g. Teams MS applications etc)

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $90900.00 to $151500.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
