Job Description
The University of Alaska System Office is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Budget Officer to manage and oversee its operating and capital budgets.
This role involves collaborating with System Office leadership and departments to develop monitor and manage the System Offices annual budget review and approve budget revisions and handle all personnel-related budget and fiscal matters. Additionally the Budget Officer will develop review and monitor the cost of shared services serve as a resource for fiscal matters for the System Office and assist and advise fiscal personnel. The position also supports the Chief Financial Officer and the Controller in various projects and reports as well as certain general accounting functions.
To thrive in this role you should have prior experience in fiscal and budget management as well as accounting experience in non-profit or government settings.
Minimum Qualifications:
1) Bachelor degree in accounting finance or business administration or an equivalent combination of training and experience
2) Previous experience preparing and maintain budgets
3) Previous accounting experience with a non-profit or government entity
Position Details:
This is a full-time exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary andfull employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options annual leave 12 paid holidays per year tuition waivers for employees and family members and affordable medical dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on theUA Staff Salary Schedule Grade 81 based on education and experience.
