Job Description

Quality Engineering & Program Manager

Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineering & Program Manager to support the E7 Quality Management team in Tukwila WA.

This Quality Management position is a key member of the leadership team and we are seeking a detail oriented highly organized change agent to lead a team in the development implementation and continuous improvement of technical strategies to bolster compliance repeatability and sustainability within the Quality Organization. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners suppliers and direct reports.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing quality engineering and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the product lifecycle
  • Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
  • Acquires and manages resources provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners suppliers and direct reports
  • Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility. Manages develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree or higher where Engineering or STEM related is highly preferred
  • 3 years of experience with Quality and/or Manufacturing processes and organizations
  • 3 years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. Customers suppliers peers and/or partners)
  • 3 years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
  • Leadership experience with technical employees
  • Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using schematics blueprints sketches manuals technical documents written information verbal information applicable procedures codes and ordinances

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Demonstrated experience in quality leadership
  • Experience in a developmental program
  • Experience on a production program
  • More than 3 years of experience in quality engineering

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
