Speaks Law Firm is hiring a Legal Assistant to assist with the life cycle of personal injury cases by accurately and efficiently completing assigned administrative duties and maintenance of files. This is an on-site full-time position based in our Charlotte office. Hours of work are MondayFriday 8:30 AM5:30 PM. Visit to learn more about us!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Set up new claims with insurance companies
Request background checks and court records
Support attorneys and case managers with case file maintenance
Scan save and route incoming mail and faxes
Obtain medical records and bills from providers and other third parties
Maintain organized physical and digital case files
Update information and documents in Neos CMS
Provide front desk and reception coverage as needed
Attend team meetings as scheduled
Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A minimum of one (1) year legal administrative experience or equivalent required
Associate degree or higher preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
Proficiency with computers
Familiarity with legal terminology and personal injury case processes
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational analytical and critical thinking abilities
High attention to detail and a professional work ethic
Collaborative mindset and willingness to help others
Ability to prioritize and drive tasks to completion
Compensation: The is a full-time hourly position starting at $17.50 depending on experience.
