Job Description
Location: Richmond VA - local candidates only
Position Type: Onsite must be able to work onsite 3 days per week
Contract Length: 1 Year
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Master Data Analyst to support data management initiatives across Agile and Waterfall projects. This in-person role involves analyzing business processes and datasets developing data requirements and user stories and driving continuous improvement in support of enterprise data management efforts.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Master Data Analyst to support data management initiatives across Agile and Waterfall projects. This in-person role involves analyzing business processes and datasets developing data requirements and user stories and driving continuous improvement in support of enterprise data management efforts.
Duties:
- Collaborate with project team members and business stakeholders to understand business processes and data flows
- Develop expertise in customer datasets and their lifecycle
- Profile and review source data; compare to dataset requirements identify conflicts and recommend resolutions
- Conduct entity resolution to identify matches merges and semantic conflicts
- Map data attributes back to source systems
- Elicit record and manage metadata
- Diagram current and proposed processes using process flows context diagrams and data flow diagrams
- Document requirements and user stories with a focus on enhancing business and technical operations
- Break down requirements into Epics and Features; write clear and concise user stories
- Use progressive elaboration techniques and map stories to data models and architecture for master data management
- Identify and group related stories into themes; document dependencies and supporting business processes
- Assist Product Owner with backlog maintenance
- Create conceptual prototypes and mockups
- Collaborate with internal teams vendors and contractors to detail and test solutions
- Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing and keep project leadership informed of progress
- 10 years of experience delivering business and systems analysis artifacts such as Business Requirements Documentation (BRD) and Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
- 5 years of advanced experience writing complex queries for data analysis
- 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise data management including data analysis and understanding of the full data lifecycle
- 5 years of experience as an Agile Business Analyst with a strong understanding of Scrum concepts and methodology
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
- Experience using Team Foundation Server and work item tracking
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Test Complete
