The Role

Reporting to the Registrar the Associate Registrar provides strategic leadership and operational oversight across key areas of academic administration. As a core member of the Registrars leadership team this role plays a pivotal part in shaping the student experience from initial inquiry through to graduation.

Requirements

Reporting to the Registrar the Associate Registrar provides strategic leadership and operational oversight across key areas of academic administration. As a core member of the Registrars leadership team this role plays a pivotal part in shaping the student experience from initial inquiry through to graduation.

The Associate Registrar is a key contributor to institution-wide Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) initiatives guiding and integrating efforts that support student retention and success. This includes aligning enrolment strategies with academic priorities and ensuring that SEM principles are embedded in operational planning and service delivery. The role also supports the development and implementation of comprehensive enrolment strategies including oversight of centralized contact and inquiry services.

The Associate Registrar leads multidisciplinary teams responsible for but not limited to; domestic and international admissions registration services academic advising financial aid student information systems support student records and credential completion. These services span the full student life cyclefrom application and admission to graduation and beyondand are designed to be efficient equitable and responsive to the evolving needs of students and academic units.

In addition the Associate Registrar plays a vital role in supporting student development by collaborating with departments that enhance student engagement learning and well-being.

Through strategic analysis policy development and cross-functional collaboration the Associate Registrar ensures that academic and enrolment operations are aligned with institutional goals and regulatory requirements. The role also provides mentorship and professional development to staff fostering a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a relevant field of study with a Masters degree preferred and a minimum of 3 years in related job experience.

Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:

  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • strong organizational and multi-tasking skills;
  • an entrepreneurial spirit specifically one who is willing to take a risk to create opportunities;
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • ability to build strong relationships across the organization; and
  • a high level of integrity professionalism and accountability.
