The Role
The Math Support Specialist provides math and physics supports to NWP students. They will assist trades students with questions about dimensions and flow rates academic upgrading students with high school level geometry and trigonometry and other students with differential calculus linear algebra and much more.
The Math Support Specialist meets with students one-on-one for tutoring sessions makes themselves available for drop-in sessions around campus and runs workshops for groups of students. As a member of the Learning Commons staff the Math Support Specialist also performs basic library circulation duties at the service desk.
This position requires one evening shift every week and additional evening shifts may be requested in support of various events (Kick Start to Studying Late Night Against Procrastination etc.)
