The Opportunity
Italic is a fast-paced high-energy print company looking for a driven team player who thrives under pressure and takes pride in delivering top-quality results for clients.
We are looking for a Wide Format Printing and Finishing Operator to join our Wide Format department. As part of our Production team youll operate and maintain wide format printers ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to our high-quality standards. Youll handle daily and weekly printing and finishing tasks in line with job specifications all while keeping the presses running smoothly.
What youll do
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Production Wide Format and Service Teams to prioritize jobs adapt to updates and ensure a full understanding of project requirements.
- Communicate regularly with the Production Management team to align with sales goals and meet customer expectations.
- Set up operate and maintain printing cutting and finishing equipment such as the SwissQ Print Nyala LED HP Latex 360 Epson Stylus Pro Zund S3 Cutter Trotec Speedy 400 and Arkane 65 Laminator.
- Clean and maintain equipment according to prescribed procedures and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain an organized inventory of supplies stock and materials to support smooth daily/weekly production.
- Prepare and send print-ready files using RIP and imposition software to appropriate production equipment.
- Uphold quality standards by following job specifications and verifying that output meets or exceeds client expectations.

Qualifications
- Ability to follow standards and procedures.
- Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
- High school level mathematics - understanding of unit measurement conversion (feet into inches).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Working as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Problem solving and mechanical ability.
- Must be open and adept at learning new equipment and new technologies.
- Must be able to maintain flexible work hours and be available for overtime as needed.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to lift materials up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to work on your feet for most of the workday.
- Working in a loud and busy manufacturing environment.
