Job Description
Candidates screening will begin over the summer and be ongoing during the 2025/26 school year.
Position: Day-to-Day Substitute Teacher
Employment Type: Casual
Union: New Brunswick Teachers Federation ( As defined by Article 18 of the NBTF Collective Agreement
Salary: Compensation in accordance with the NBTF Collective Agreement
Reports to: School Principal
Location: Teachers could be assigned to one of our39 Schools within ASD-E
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
All applicants must hold a universityundergraduatedegree (120 credit hours) or be currently enrolled in a recognized multi-year . program with 2 years completed (60 credit hours).Prioritywill be given to applicants with a New Brunswick Teaching certificate oreligibleto hold a New Brunswick Teaching certificate and those available to accept jobs on a daily basis.
Allapplicantsmust be eligible to work in Canada. For candidates with valid Work Permits please review the conditions on your permit.
Along with these essential qualifications we are looking for candidates who:
- Experience working with children and youth
- Committed to providing a safe welcoming inclusive classroom for all students
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication
- Punctual andprofessional
- Flexibleand adaptable as daily assignments will vary in location class composition and grade level
- Be available for daily assignments
