Job Description
- Reviews drug orders and obtains clarification as needed.
- Regularly consults with medical and nursing staff and others in order to provide a high quality of pharmacy service to the Health Systems patients.
- Oversees and reviews the work of technical support personnel.
- Assists in the safe and efficient functioning of the Pharmacy
- Full-time Pharmacists must provide on-call telephone coverage on a rotating schedule for after-hours consultation and requests.
- Cover occasional evenings (no overnights) and weekends as necessary
- Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and at least 1 year of hospital pharmacy work experience.
- Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency preferred; Specialty Residency in Psychiatric or Pediatric Pharmacy an advantage.
- Must possess a valid Maryland Pharmacy license or be eligible for reciprocity at time of appointment and continuously during tenure in position.
- Must comply with all related continuing education requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to work cooperatively tactfully and communicate effectively with patients staff and health professionals.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
