Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our companys logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of goods from suppliers to customers ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness. This role requires strong leadership analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a deep understanding of logistics principles and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Logistics Operations: Oversee all aspects of the logistics cycle including inbound and outbound shipments inventory management and warehousing.
- Coordinate Shipments: Schedule and coordinate all product distribution and shipments ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate contracts with logistics service providers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to secure favorable terms.
- Manage Budgets: Develop and manage the logistics budget monitoring expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Supervise Logistics Team: Manage and mentor the logistics team providing guidance training and performance feedback.
- Track and Analyze Performance: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery inventory turnover and transportation costs.
- Develop and Implement Strategies: Develop and implement logistics strategies policies and procedures to optimize the supply chain.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with other departments such as sales purchasing and customer service to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or related field.
- 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Strong understanding of logistics software (e.g. WMS TMS ERP systems).
- Excellent organizational analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
