Job Description

First Line Supplier Management and Procurement Manager

Boeing Commercial Airplanes Supply Chain Functional Excellence organization is currently seeking multiple First Line Supplier Management and Procurement Managers to lead teams responsible for Demand and Supply Planning and our Extended Supplier Network. These exciting opportunities will be based out of the Boeing Auburn or Everett site.

Our Supply Chain Functional Excellence team is a multi-dimensional organization where you will work with peers and colleagues in other functions across Boeing to develop process and tools that will enable our future capability. This is a chance to be a part of a team whose mission is to accelerate and elevate our supply chain success by continuously improving relationships proficiencies processes and technologies. We pride ourselves on a customer-focused approach to make our supply chain experience better.

Statement of work may include:demand management schedule implementation advancing collaborative supply planning strategies supplier performance/oversight for outside processing and emergent fabrication support development and implementation of oversight models across qualified parts providers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages supplier management and procurement employees performing activities related to committing company resources to purchase goods and services developing supplier strategies development of bid packages proposal analysis and development of contracts

  • Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes

  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools

  • Manages develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5 years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams

  • 5 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Processes

  • 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook PowerPoint Excel and Word

  • Must be willing to travel domestically or internationally as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher

  • 5 years of experience in managing Supplier Relationships

  • 5 years of experience with contract negotiation

  • 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role
