JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for developing and implementing Universal Orlandos community engagement strategies aligned with the organizations overall goals and mission. Manages the philanthropic focus of Universal Orlando and the UO Foundation. Serves as UO representative in the Central Florida community.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In partnership with UDX Community Relations direct the philanthropic strategy for Universal Orlando and the Universal Orlando Foundation; oversee Community Relations programs including Charitable Giving Workplace Giving Volunteer Program Compassion Special Events and Initiatives; manage annual budget. In partnership with Corporate Communications develop and implement communication strategies to enhance brand reputation.
- Relationship Management: Position Universal Orlando as a leader in the Central Florida community. Build and maintain relationships with key community stakeholders and leaders; represent Universal Orlando at community and non-profit functions and events.
- Serve as Executive Director of the Universal Orlando Foundation. Oversee Foundation grant-making process fundraising activities grant reporting administrative processes IRS compliance and marketing needs.
- Program Management: Design & direct community engagement/signature programs; establish annual impact goals and measurement plan; evaluate effectiveness.
- Leadership/Team Management: Lead develop and inspire CR team; foster collaborative work environment.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in communication Business Marketing preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 12 Years: Experience in community relations philanthropy fundraising and community-based groups preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
