Graduate (SuDS Design Engineer)
Join the @one Alliance a collaboration of eight industry-leading companies (Anglian Water Balfour Beatty Barhale Binnies MMB MWH Treatment Skanska and SWECO) delivering over half of Anglian Waters capital investment programme. With AMP8 ahead were gearing up for our biggest challenge yetdelivering an ambitious programme of projects that will shape the future of water infrastructure.
What will you be doing as our new Graduate (SuDS Design Engineer)
As a Graduate (SuDS Design Engineer) youll play a key role in delivering innovative Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) across the Anglian Water region from schools and highways to parks and public spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing concept outline and detailed SuDS designs using Civil3D and InfoDrainage
- Collaborating with internal teams (modelling CAD construction landscape architects)
- Support in liaising with local authorities highways schools and community groups to co-design solutions
- Supporting construction by fulfilling Designer responsibilities under CDM 2015
- Under how we apply CIRIA guidance British Standards and Anglian Water design frameworks
- Support in creating safe buildable and maintainable SuDS designs with long-term performance in mind
What were looking for
Youll bring:
- A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (2:1 minimum)
- Confidence working in retrofit and constrained urban environments
- An understanding of drainage design standards and health & safety principles
- Strong communication skills to engage technical teams and external stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset and passion for sustainable green infrastructure
