Salary Package: $150k Super
Role Highlights:A well-established national logistics business is expanding rapidly and looking for a skilled Payroll Manager to lead the payroll team. With operations across multiple sites the company supports key players in essential industries and has experienced significant growth over the past five years. This business operates in a high-volume blue-collar environment and is currently undergoing digitisation and payroll transformation making this an exciting time to join and help shape the future.


Role Overview
Reporting to a highly experienced CFO youll will lead a close-knit team of 4 and take ownership of end-to-end payroll for 1000 employees. The environment is dynamic and complex covering a number of different business entities a mix of EAs and awards and a large casual workforce. This is a true leadership role with direct lines to the leadership team. Saying that you will still enjoy being hands-on and ensuring a smooth payroll operation.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership of a small payroll team delivering end-to-end weekly payroll processing (1000 employees across 16 locations)
  • Management of complex EBA and modern award interpretation
  • Manual adjustments long service leave calculations and data validations
  • Superannuation and payroll tax compliance
  • Labour costing and ad hoc reporting/analysis
  • Managing manual and digital timesheets (Kronos / MS Greentree)
  • Payroll amendments new employee setups and on boarding
  • Lead payroll process improvement and system projects bringing efficiencies and best practice processes to their payroll operations
  • Recruitment of staff as needed.

Candidate Profile
Youre a confident senior payroll professional with a solid foundation and ready for the next step. You enjoy solving problems improving processes and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
You will have over five years of leadership experience in medium-to-large complex payroll environments supporting 1000employees You bring a wealth of expertise in streamlining payroll operations and driving system improvements. Your background includes hands-on experience with payroll processing and adjustments as well as strong proficiency in ERP systems.
You are well-versed in time and attendance systems such as Kronos and demonstrate a deep understanding of modern awards enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs) and individual flexibility agreements (IFAs). Known for your analytical mindset and exceptional attention to detail you consistently ensure accuracy and compliance across all facets of payroll. Your formal qualifications in payroll and finance further strengthen your capability to deliver high-quality outcomes in complex payroll settings.
