Job Description
About The Role
As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant you will provide personalised support to older Australians in Yeppoon and surrounding suburbs helping them to continue living independently in their own homes. We have Permanent Part Time and Casual opportunities available. Your working hours will be between 7am to 7pm no sleepover shifts required.
Most of the hours currently available will be providing domestic assistance to our clients. This role requires a willingness to travel as you will be performing back-to-back short shifts while supporting multiple clients each day.
Key Responsibilities
- Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light house cleaning
- Community access to medical appointments and social activities
- Personal Care including grooming and showering
- Supporting with tasks and routines
- Build positive relationships with clients
Skills & Experience
- An Australian Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and complete an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
