Job Summary
Are you a skilled Fire Alarm professional looking to advance your career with a global leader Johnson Controls is seeking experienced Fire Alarm Technicians to join our innovative team in Traverse City. Help us create the purposeful solutions that propel the world forward!
What Youll Do:
- Diagnose service and repair electronic fire alarm systems and related building systems
- Troubleshoot card access CCTV and burglar alarm systems
- Interpret blueprints diagrams schematics and technical documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring system reliability
- Complete detailed service documentation through mobile devices
- Participate in on-call emergency service rotation
What Youll Need:
- 2-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4 years documented experience with electronic security systems
- Proficiency with test equipment (multi-meter digital analyzer commissioning devices)
- Experience installing inspecting repairing and programming security systems
- Knowledge of applicable NFPA standards
- Ability to lift/carry equipment up to 70 lbs and work in challenging positions (ladders crawl spaces etc.)
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record
- NICET III certification preferred in Special Hazard Systems or Fire Alarm
