Job Description


Deanwood Rehabilitation & Wellness Center is a 4-star Acute Nursing Facility with 296 beds. We are currently looking for a Staffing Coordinator to join our team!


  • Maintain a current listing of all employee phone numbers.
  • Maintain staffing required PPD DAILY.
  • Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars.
  • Report to Director of Nursing Services (DON) all employees with excess tardiness or absenteeism in accordance with Facility policy.
  • Work with Human Resources Delegate and DON when scheduling modified work duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and Facility policy.
  • Complete in timely fashion necessary nursing department employee records upon hiring job reclassification and discharge as needed.
  • Assist employees in accurate completion of forms ( ie leave and day off requests timecards etc) pertinent to scheduling and staffing.
  • Complete monthly nursing schedule coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage of units.
  • Complete and post work sheets and time schedules. Coordinate variances with DON.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties pertaining to staffing and assist nursing supervisor personnel as necessary.
  • Answer employee calls regarding staffing and scheduling functions. Prepare written correspondence as necessary.
  • Ensure newly hired nursing staff has schedule prior to orientation date.
  • Consult with nursing department staff and supervisors concerning the staffing and scheduling needs: to assist in elimination and correction of problem areas and/or improvement of services.
  • Must adhere to all HIPAA requirements.
  • Assist in recordkeeping and documentation of attendance and tardiness for employee performance appraisals.
  • Maintain all nursing staff schedules.
  • Ensure Nursing staff adhere to In -Services and complete on a timely manner.
  • Ensure Nursing staff is following Facility protocol.

Qualifications: Minimum of 1-3 years staffing experience in Long Term Care setting.

Higher range salary will only be given to those with extensive experience as a Staffing Coordinator in a large SNF.
