Job Description

Description

MetaPhase is seeking a Software Tester with 4 years of experience to be a part of a Federal IT team supporting the modernization of a key human resources web application. It is expected that the Software Tester/ System Analyst will have experience in functional analysis requirements gathering and definition design and testing and an understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) both Agile and Waterfall. The Software Tester must be customer focused and will also support training and provide end-user support.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • Minimum of four (4) or more years of experience in a functional role (e.g. requirements test) on web-based application SDLC projects
  • Experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and Agile (Backlog Grooming Sprint Planning Scrum)
  • Experience testing web applications including frontend testing and backend testing
  • Experience in creating Test Cases and Test Suites executing Test Scripts and capturing bugs and issues
  • U.S. Citizenship with Active Top-Secret clearance required (NO EXCEPTIONS)

Bonus Points (Desired)

  • Experience with WireShark

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product owners end-users and other stakeholders via working sessions interviews and surveys to discover document and maintain a set of comprehensive requirements via user stories/epics and roadmaps
  • Capture requirements needs and features through user stories and define acceptance criteria
  • Provide information and input to support prioritization and backlog grooming sprint planning daily stand-ups product demos and sprint retrospectives
  • Contribute to development of test strategy and plans and independently create detailed test cases/scripts that thoroughly test requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Independently execute test cases/scripts captures bugs and issues and work with development teams throughout sprints
  • Produce professional client-ready materials user guides training documents in a fast paced environment for presentation to key project stakeholders.

This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance at a U.S. Government Agency; U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS).
