Summer Technology Assistant (July - August)

DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT
OF POSITION:
Overview:
Nauset Public Schools Department of Technology seeks a reliable motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Department for the summer months. This temporary full-time position is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in educational technology systems infrastructure and operational support. The selected candidate will work closely with the technology team to ensure the districts technology systems and devices are fully prepared for the upcoming academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with technology inventory management and equipment tracking.
- Support rostering tasks and data verification for students and staff.
- Configure label and deploy devices and peripherals across multiple school sites
- Assist with computer hardware setup light troubleshooting and documentation.
- Participate in infrastructure support projects and equipment organization.
- Carry out special projects as assigned by the Director of Technology or supervisors.
- Provide basic IT support and collaborate with team members to ensure consistency and accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of computer hardware software and networking concepts
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and spreadsheets is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail problem-solving skills and organizational ability
- Ability to work independently manage tasks and communicate effectively
- Must have reliable transportation to travel between school sites
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and transport hardware and equipment up to 25 lbs
- Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor settings
- Ability to work at different physical locations within the Nauset Public Schools boundaries
SALARY:
Hourly rate per contract
Full-time Temporary; Monday through Friday 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
Part-time considered.
