Reports To: Intake/Attendance/Student Engagement Director & Campus Principal

Work closely with the campus attendance clerk attendance department truancy officers and parents to encourage daily attendance by students. Work day will consist of a four-hour day and no more than 19 hours a week.

High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience working with school personnel and parents preferred
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos in both English and Spanish. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to administrators teachers students parents and the general community.
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized solutions.
Ability to develop effective working relationships with parents students staff and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
Occasional absences are understood but regular attendance is required.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit talk stand walk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and repeat the same hand and finger motions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus such as to read computerized or hand written material.
The employee must maintain emotional control under stress.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is regularly performed indoors. The employee continuously interacts with the public staff and students.
