JOB GOAL: The Campus Monitor oversees students between assigned periods within a variety of school environments for the purpose of supporting a positive school climate and culture. The Campus Monitor is responsible for supporting students to meet behavioral expectations in school buildings and on school grounds such as hallways library cafeteria athletic fields and other common areas. The Campus Monitor reinforces the behavioral expectations of students through positive interactions and relationship-building and applies standards of student conduct as established in the Student Handbook.

Campus Monitor responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; stand; with minimal time sitting. Requires sufficient arm hand and finger dexterity in order to operate keyboard and other office equipment. Requires visual acuity to read words numbers. Requires ambulatory ability to go to different locations. Requires the ability to take precautions against a nominal exposure to health and safety risks. Requires speaking and hearing to communicate in person or over the phone. Requires the ability to walk bend stoop and perform repetitive arm and shoulder motions with moderate exertion.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a non-affiliated position. Hours per week determined by Principal. Work year is 180 days to coincide when school is in session. Building principal will assign work schedule between the hours of 6:45am to 5:00pm.
