Waltham High School is a comprehensive urban high school with approximately 1800 students and 200 staff members. Educational programs include college prep over 30 Advanced Placement courses and 14 Chapter 74 CTE programs.
Waltham Public Schools is looking for a skilled practitioner with experience and training in restorative practices. This role is responsible for delivering academic behavioral and disciplinary interventions in reset/restoration spaces which includes supporting students who have been assigned internal suspensions. The goal is to reduce out-of-school suspensions improve school climate and ensure that academically struggling students stay engaged in instruction. While the overarching aim is to foster safe and affirming learning environments the following objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) guide the work:
