Manager Health Safety & Environmental (HSE)

Job Summary
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for managing the Companys Safety and Quality Management System (SQMS) across multiple locations. This role ensures compliance with company policies and industry regulations while fostering a culture of safety continuous improvement and environmental responsibility. You will lead audit develop and deliver training oversee data analysis and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to drive safety excellence throughout the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance Leadership
Implement and maintain the Safety and Quality Management System (SQMS) in alignment with internal standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. FAA OSHA EPA NFPA IS-BAH ATA 103 IATA).
Promote proactive and preventative safety practices across all operations.
Audits Inspections & Site Engagement
Ensure compliance with the Internal Audit Program (IAP) including data review audit findings and corrective action management.
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled health safety and environmental audits across multiple sites.
Travel routinely (up to 75%) to company locations to conduct inspections training audits and incident investigations.
Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions to local and senior management.
Incident Management & Emergency Response
Lead or support incident investigations including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate emergency response and incident recovery efforts in collaboration with internal teams.
Training & Development
Design implement and monitor training programs to ensure workforce compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust content or delivery as needed.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze safety performance metrics audit data and incident trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
Prepare and present comprehensive reports on safety performance audits and incident investigations to senior leadership.
Maintain accurate documentation of audits inspections safety procedures and regulatory activities.
Collaboration & Relationship Management
Coordinate with local management frontline teams and vendors to ensure alignment with safety programs and change management initiatives.
Maintain strong working relationships with regulatory agencies; act as liaison during audits and inspections.
Support continuous improvement by sharing best practices and lessons learned across the network.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Solid understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and industry standards.
Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to prioritize manage time and handle confidential information professionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Outlook Word Excel Sheets etc.).
Education and Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in safety environmental health or aviation safety roles.
Bachelors degree in Environmental Health Safety Management Occupational Safety or related field.
Valid state drivers license required.
Certifications/Licenses Needed
Must have a valid drivers license and a clear driving record.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Periodically operate a computer and moves around the office to access office machinery e.g. copy machine.
Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder.
Must regularly stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
Possess the ability to communicate information and ideas so others understand.
Ability to observe details at a close range.
Availability to travel 75% of time across the network.
