Overview
Mount Alverna Village a part of Franciscan Ministries is hiring an Environmental Services Technician/Housekeeper. We are looking for a reliable energetic and self-motivated person to assist with commercial cleaning duties within a healthcare environment while helping to provide an exceptional home-like environment for our elderly residents. The chosen candidate will be a team player yet must be able to work independently and have a great attendance record.

Mount Alverna Village is a vibrant senior living community in Parma Ohio. Mount Alverna Village is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) offering a variety of senior lifestyle options including independent living assisted living and skilled nursing/long-term care. Additionally the onsite rehabilitation clinic offers inpatient and outpatient physical occupational and speech therapies and state-of-the-art programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents and patients in the local community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dust Mop and Sweep floors
- Scrub floors Buff Polish Furniture Clean Equipment
- Clean light fixtures vents registers Vacuum and scrub carpets
- Cleans offices and general areas
- Clean Private and Public Washrooms
- Keep storage area cart and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Maintains supplies at a required level as determined by the Department Director and Supervisor
- All other duties as assigned
Required skills and qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience a plus
- Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be reliable energetic and self-motivated who truly enjoys working with the senior population
- Great attendance
