Primary Duties:
Leadership and management of all aspects of a collegiate wrestling program including but not limited to: evaluation and recruitment of student-athletes; creating a positive team culture that retains and graduates its student-athletes; scheduling of practice and competitions; dynamic practice preparation that develops individuals skills and promotes the team environment.
Administration of team travel academic monitoring hiring development and supervision of assistant coach community service and other activities associated with running a successful program.
Demonstrate fiscal responsibility within confines of budget appropriation.
Alumni cultivation and fund raising for the program through camps clinics and other initiatives.
Conduct program with honesty and integrity per NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Bachelors degree.
3 years successful intercollegiate or national/international wrestling coaching experience.
Strong track record of successful recruiting collegiate level or higher.
Demonstrated commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes superior communication relationship and culture building skills along with strong organizational structure.
Excellent oral and written communication skills as demonstrated through public speaking engagements clinician experience and/or use of effective and creative training/coaching techniques.
Experience with basic office productivity software online database systems and digital video software relevant to sport of wrestling.
Possess a valid U.S Drivers license with acceptable driving record
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment. Nights weekends and travel are required.
