AWC Staff Services are looking for a Site Manager to work on HS2 with their client in Birmingham.
An existing double circuit overhead line (OHL) between towers 47PFY/PGY33 and 47PFY/PGY37 (from Copt Heath to Lea Marston) spans directly over a parcel of land required for the High Speed 2 (HS2) Birmingham Interchange Station (BIS) works.
To facilitate the proposed construction of the HS2 Birmingham Interchange Station works part of the 2No. existing 132kV OHL circuits from Copt Heath to Lea Marston require diverting underground by means of ducted cable installation removal of OHL towers erection of a terminal tower and jointing onto existing inground cables.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Undertaking inductions and briefings.
- Drafting and review of RAMS.
- Promoting site HSEQS initiatives.
- Reporting accident incidents near misses corrective actions and unsafe conditions
- Management of day-to-day construction works including associated HSEQS issues.
- Assess progress solve problems and address any delays or challenges.
- Ensure all works are constructed to the required quality and recorded with ITPs.
- Maintain records of site activities and prepare reports on project progress.
- Reporting of accidents incidents near misses and/or observations.
- Managing logistics including material handling communications transport plant and equipment
- Drafting briefs for Temporary Works (TW) and ensuring TW build quality and TW monitoring.
- Assisting with production of As Built records.
- Coordinate the work of civils and cabling subcontractors cable jointers and OHL personnel in line with the project programme ensuring agreed-upon specifications budgets and timescales are met and
- Liaise with clients and other stakeholders.
- Reviewing sub-contractor and supplier documentation
- Ensuring the project has a relentless focus on Zero Harm Defect free delivery and Our Sustainability strategy
To apply for the role you must have:

Driving license.
Proven experience as a Site Manager/Engineer in OHL and 132kV cabling projects.
