Education Qualifications Accreditation Training:
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with an intermediate to senior-level relevant Mining experience.
Must be registered with EGBC as a Professional Engineer and have a PEng. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. - Must be able to work from our Oakville office 4 days a week.

Purpose:
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Our team includes world-class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Oakville Ontario.
To support the Mechanical Engineering team with design and engineering work for studies and projects within the mining metals and minerals (MMM) sector. The candidate will be based in Vancouver British Columbia and work under the supervision of the discipline lead and will work well with the rest of the project team and customer.
Self-motivated individuals with a desire to solve complex engineering problems show effective team leadership and communication skills will be ideally suitable for this role. Candidate must be present in the Worley office 4 days a week.
Responsibilities:
Deliver mechanical engineering services that meet Worley its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications on time and within budget. Contribute to studies and projects. Preparation of technical specifications data sheets and vendor drawing and data requirements (VDDR) for mechanical equipment. Perform technical bid evaluations leading to a recommendation and ultimate purchase of the equipment Perform complex engineering calculations with regards to piping equipment and systems. Liaise where needed with the supplier in the purchase of equipment. Familiar with applicable codes and standards perform calculations. Review shop drawings and attend inspection as required. Prepare project scope of work planning and support RFQs (Requests For Quotation). Identify and report changes to study / project scope. Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in mechanical engineering. Stamp project deliverables.
