The Opportunity
This role offers a unique chance to lead the technical design and integration of innovative solutions that enhance how businesses deliver a unified and seamless experience to their customers. You will play a key role in shaping the architectural vision behind the Worldline Global Online Pay ecommerce solution driving the development of scalable secure and high-performance systems that support a cohesive customer journey across our instore and online platforms.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable robust and high-performance .NET-based solutions for our eCommerce payments platform.
- Drive architectural decisions that align with business goals and technical excellence ensuring a secure and reliable payment ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - including product managers developers infrastructure and security - to deliver innovative payment solutions.
- Coach and mentor development teams fostering a culture of best practices quality and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to governance standards compliance and industry regulations.
- Contribute to the evolution of our product domain by understanding complex payment ecosystems and translating requirements into effective technical designs.
- Support infrastructure and DevOps practices to streamline deployment monitoring and maintenance.

- A seasoned Software Architect with proven leadership experience in complex large-scale .NET applications.
- Customer-centric and passionate about delivering value through reliable solutions and occasionally meet the customer.
- Skilled at understanding and managing large product domains especially within the payments or eCommerce space.
- Strong communicator with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A team player who thrives in collaborative environments fostering teamwork inside the department and across organizational boundaries.
- Proactive with a strategic mindset and an eye for governance and best practices.
- Extensive experience architecting and developing enterprise-level applications using .NET.
- Proven leadership skills in guiding engineering teams and influencing technical direction.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP Azure or similar) and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of API design microservices architecture and SaaS platforms.
- Ability to analyze and understand complex product domains and translate into effective technical solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English written and spoken.
Nice to have
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Strong understanding of payment systems security standards (PCI DSS EMV etc.) and compliance requirements.
- Certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Architect Azure Solutions Architect or similar.
- Languages and frameworks beyond .NET such as JavaScript/TypeScript React or Angular are a plus.
- French or Dutch are a plus.
