As an Intercompany Buyer for PPG Aerospace you will join our dynamic supply chain team. This is a fully onsite position that plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate flow of materials through our aerospace production environment. You will support purchasing functions across both domestic and international operations. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager you will manage purchase and DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning) orders based on system demand monitor delivery timelines and communicate updates to company partners.
Key Responsibilities
Enter and process purchase and DRP orders based on demand forecasts using internal systems. Submit purchase orders by email and DRP tools ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Provide updates to Customer Service when orders are expected to be delayed or arrive early. Guide communication between departments including Planning Receiving Customer Service and Finance.
Collaborate directly with international and overseas suppliers to ensure shipments and resolve any order-related issues.
Manage credit card purchases and reconcile monthly credit card statements. Process capital expenditures and blanket purchase orders following company policy.
Update and confirm purchase order pricing to reflect accurate costs promptly.
Use spreadsheets and basic math calculations to analyze orders track goals and support monthly reporting processes.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
2 years of purchasing procurement or supply chain experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
Experience working with DRP systems Laserfiche or similar documentation systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools
Familiarity with purchasing and inventory terminology such as safety stock lead times and blanket orders
