Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance workplace safety programs for a leading construction company in California. This role is critical in fostering a proactive safety culture ensuring compliance with OSHA MSHA and DOT regulations and driving continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety Construction Safety or related field (or equivalent certifications: CHST OHST STS).
- Licensure/Certifications: CSP ASP or other advanced safety certifications (preferred).
- Experience: 5 years in construction/industrial safety with expertise in OSHA/MSHA/DOT compliance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Safety Management Systems (SMS) root cause analysis (ICAM) and Microsoft Office.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership communication and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety programs audits and training to minimize workplace risks.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local safety regulations (OSHA MSHA DOT).
- Lead incident investigations and corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Conduct hazard assessments safety inspections and emergency preparedness training.
- Collaborate with operations and HR to manage workers compensation and risk mitigation.
