Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Works with across functional groups and leads personnel to ensure all safety quality delivery metal utilization productivity and efficiency goals are met for branch operations.
• Monitors people and training to ensure processes within the department result in conforming product which always meets the requirements of the customer.
• Manages and oversees the reporting of all necessary data to ensure that day-to-day activities within the department are repeatable and in line with safety quality and operational objectives.
• Supports and/or lead continuous improvement projects to support TKA and branchs on-going focus on lean principles efficiency improvements and cost reductions.

• Ensures daily production is planned and managed.
• Ensures Preventative Maintenance program is robust and adhered to.
• Supports work to attain operational efficiency goals.
• Supports work to attain quality objectives
• Communicates well with Customer Service and other departments
• Manages company resources thoughtfully.
• Complies with all Company Federal Provincial human resource policies and laws.
• Maintains good housekeeping in all operational areas.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Operations Management Engineering or related field.
• 5 or more years of experience in a Supervisory or Management position
• 3 to 5 years experience in Continuous Improvement including Six Sigma certification
• 3 to 5 years experience in Quality
• Strong Project Management Skills
• Attitude and aptitude for Teamwork
• Proven experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
• Must have Aerospace experience if no Quality background
• Safety Mindset
