Catering Assistant. Manor Park Care Home
- Hours: Full and Part Time roles available
- Salary: £12.60 per hour
- Start Date: TBC around Mid-September
- Shift Pattern: To be confirmed. Full flexibility required including availability for both weekday and weekend shifts.
We’re looking for friendly and reliable Catering Assistants to join our team at the brand-new Manor Park Care Home opening in mid-September in the picturesque town of Malton. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new team from day one and help create a warm welcoming dining experience for our residents.
As a Catering Assistant you’ll play a key role in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring residents enjoy nutritious well-presented meals in a clean and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities.
- Assist with meal preparation and food service throughout the day
- Support residents during mealtimes including serving food and drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
- Follow food safety and infection control procedures
- Help with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
- Work collaboratively with care and kitchen staff to meet residents’ dietary needs
- Provide a friendly and respectful service promoting dignity and choice

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable
- A positive team-focused attitude and strong communication skills
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (training provided)
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including alternate weekends
- Kindness patience and a genuine interest in supporting older people
