Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:


The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resources
department including hiring and interviewing staff having knowledge of benefits
leaves and enforcing company policies and practices. The Human Resources
Generalist contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices by
providing an employee-oriented high-performance culture that emphasizes
empowerment equality productivity and ongoing development of a growing superior
workforce.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in the development and execution of recruiting plans.
    Network through industry contacts association memberships local workforce
    programs social media and employees.
    Attend job fairs.
    Coordinate and implement recruiting initiatives.
    Ensure a constant flow of applicant traffic
    Management of applicant tracking system (ATS).
    Prepares job postings.
    Screen applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
    Work with hiring managers to create job descriptions.
    Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of
    recruiting plans and implementation.
    Develop and track goals for the recruiting and hiring process.
    Handle administrative duties and recordkeeping relating to new hires.
    Collect data on cost per hire and time-to-hire.
    Assist in the completion of the onboarding process for new hires including E-verify.
    Scheduling pre-employment UDS and background screens
    Reference checks
    Assists with new-employee orientations.
    Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
    Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and
    procedures.
    Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
    Assists the manager with HR projects.
    Assists with benefits administration
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Requirements:


Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
Associate degree in Human Resources preferred
Equivalent HR experience in exchange for degree
