Were looking for a creative detail-obsessed Automotive Wrap Graphic Designer to turn vehicles into rolling works of art. Youll own the end-to-end design processconcept to print-ready filesfor wraps on everything from high-performance prototypes to fleet vehicles. Concept & Design Develop striking vehicle wrap concepts that elevate OEM and motorsports programs integrating sponsor branding and technical requirements.
3D Visualization & Templates Create accurate vehicle templates or adapt OEM CAD files to ensure perfect panel alignment; produce 3D mock-ups for client approval.
Pre-Press & File Prep Convert designs to production-ready files set up print layouts and specify bleed overlaps and panel registration.
Color Management Match corporate/PMS colors across varying vinyl types and large-format substrates; conduct test prints as needed.
Equipment Interface Collaborate with the print team to run large-format printers plotters and laminators; troubleshoot RIP-software issues (Onyx Flexi etc.).
Installer Collaboration Communicate with installers to anticipate stretch points seams and finishing details; refine artwork for smooth installations.
Continuous Innovation Research new materials finishes and design trends in vehicle graphics; present fresh ideas to internal stakeholders and clients.
Portfolio demonstrating at least 2 years of hands-on vehicle wrap or large-format graphics design (links or PDF required).
Expert-level Adobe Illustrator; solid skills in Photoshop. Experience with 3D wrap-design tools (e.g. Clo Boxy SVG Blender) a plus.
Working knowledge of RIP software and large-format print workflows.
Strong grasp of vehicle contours panel breaks and installation best practices.
Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and basic measurements; comfortable doing on-vehicle tape-measure verifications.
Creative thinker who balances aesthetics with brand guidelines and production constraints.
Excellent communication and teamwork skillsyoull interface with engineers project managers and installers daily.
Ability to stand bend and occasionally lift 30 lbs of media or tools.
