Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join a growing aerospace supplier specializing in innovative solutions for commercial and government clients. This position is responsible for identifying and driving new business opportunities maintaining strong customer relationships and delivering results in alignment with the companys sales goals. You will report directly to the VP of Sales and play a key role in shaping and executing regional business strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue profitable new business opportunities within target markets.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makersto foster a strong foundation for future growth.
Meet or exceed sales and bookings targets.
Develop and present annual sales and bookings forecasts.
Provide support and direction to internal and external sales personnel.
Stay informed on industry trends competitor activities and customer developments.
Make presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.
Develop and maintain a regional budget for travel and operating expenses.
Create and execute a regional business plan aligned with company strategy.
Participate in pricing recommendations and strategic planning.
Collaborate with R&D by providing suggestions for new projects.
Travel approximately 40% aiming for at least 10 customer visits per month.
Complete 5 active sales projects per month.
Assist with marketing material and trade show preparation.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher (technical discipline preferred).
Minimum 5 years of technical sales and/or engineering experience preferably within aerospace.
Strong organizational communication and presentation skills.
Goal-driven with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Comfortable with frequent travel (>25%).
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven ability to build rapport influence and motivate.
Valid drivers license and insurance required.
