The role
Are you a strategic thinker with experience in long-term asset planning and asset systems Join MidCoast Council as our Asset Strategy and Planning Analyst and help guide asset management across our organisation. This role is central to improving Councils AM framework (AM policy strategy and AM Plans) enhancing Councils asset management maturity; coordinating the asset management improvement program; and supporting evidence-based prioritisation of long-term capital works and maintenance programs.
Youll collaborate across teamsincluding finance asset owners information technology various steering committees and working groups to assess and translate business needs into functional requirements and system improvements. Youll contribute to enhance Councils Asset Management Information System and lead our asset management modules to improve asset processes data quality forecasting and reporting. In addition youll also investigate and where applicable incorporate emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence into Councils asset practices. The role also contributes to strategic reporting from the Delivery Program and Operational Plan to Councils Long-Term Financial Plan and Resourcing Strategy.
Were seeking a self-driven and self-managed person who can identify gaps and opportunities in existing asset data processes technology and people; seeks input from and consults with relevant stakeholders. You are a people person with great communication and negotiation skills to ensure that proposed changes are accepted implemented and celebrated by our key stakeholders.

Salary: Commencing salary circa $108744 p.a. plus superannuation (negotiable based on skills and experience).
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent Full Time.
