Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately ship and receive materials
- Store received materials in proper locations
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Sort tag and distribute incoming shipments
- Report quality variances
- Ensure pallets and loads are built correctly
- Support inventory control with accurate documentation
- Confirm inventory transactions are complete
- Ensure all paperwork is completed to standard
- Perform routine inspections on forklifts
- Maintain an organized work area according to policies procedures and safety regulations
- Participate in clean-up of yard and facility
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Operate lifting devices (i.e. forklifts hoists elevating platforms lift beams and swivel hooks)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a warehouse/shipping environment
- Previous forklift experience and valid forklift certification required
- High school diploma
- Must possess a valid drivers license
- Must be detail oriented and able to maintain high standards of accuracy
- Knowledge of safe lifting and handling procedures
- Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to carry and move equipment and/or supplies up to 55 pounds
- Ability to perform all duties in accordance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to determine the correct tools and equipment needed to complete a task
- Able to effectively communicate follow and understand verbal and written directions
- Ability to work overtime and on weekends if required.
