Position Summary
As a Heavy Equipment Operator at Surespan you will be an integral part of our construction team operating a range of heavy machinery to ensure our projects run smoothly and efficiently. Were looking for a dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator with mid-level experience a strong focus on safety and the ability to excel in a collaborative team environment offering a unique 21-on/7-off shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Equipment: Skillfully handle excavators bulldozers loaders and other machinery to support bridge and infrastructure construction projects.
- Adhere to Project Specifications: Follow detailed plans and guidelines to ensure precise and accurate execution of tasks.
- Material Handling: Safely load transport and manage materials equipment and debris on-site.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on machinery promptly reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
- Safety First: Comply with all safety regulations and company policies to foster a safe working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with construction crew project managers and other team members to ensure project milestones are met.
- Monitor and Respond: Keep an eye on equipment operations detect malfunctions and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Environmental Compliance: Follow environmental regulations and guidelines to minimize impact during construction activities.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed equipment usage and project progress.
