Employment Term: Permanent Part Time position available (15 hrs per week with the ability to work extra if required)
Location: Buderim Private Hospital Sunshine Coast
Remuneration: $34.86 phr 11.5% Super Not for Profit Salary Packaging Penalties & Allowances

Your part in Buderim Private Hospital team

The Medical Receptionist will support the overall daily operation of the Private Practice Psychiatrist rooms. You will be responsible for a busy front desk reception liaising with patients and all aspects of office administration that is important to the efficient flow of Sessional/Doctors rooms and connection where necessary with other areas or departments of the hospital. This position can also be required to work in other departments/wards of the hospital as required.

Role responsibilities:

  • General reception duties answering phones patient bookings eftpos reconciliation
  • Medicare DVA & Private Health Fund billing
  • Monitoring and responding to daily emails
  • Medical Typing
  • Monitoring of supplies ensuring clinical and stationery supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring efficient service delivery in our fast-paced specialist environment
  • Supervising the day-to-day operations of the practice.

  • Previous Experience in a similar role within the Healthcare Industry
  • Cert III in Business Administration or equivalent desirable
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations policies and procedures
  • Proficient in using medical software Gentu Microsoft Office and other relevant IT systems
  • Passionate about working with people and an approachable management style
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with grace and professionalism.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word
  • High attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to work Autonomously
