Our company Benefit Communication Insourcing LLC is a joint trademark with Lockton Companies in Kansas City we are one of the nations leading benefit communication firms. We work directly with employees throughout the U.S. providing customized benefit communication and administrative services and support to our clients HR Department and their individual employees.
The Account Service Manager (ASM) is responsible for account management initial account set up and implementation and ongoing client support. Additional responsibility includes training and supporting internal administration and benefit communication departments.
Location: Overland Park KS - Must live in the Kansas City Metro area to be considered. This is a remote role but at times will need to be in the office based on business needs training and meetings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Implementation Support for New Accounts Benefits and Systems
  • Participates in implementation meetings with the client and carriers during both pre- and post- implementation of new accounts; acquisitions; and/or product changes; or introduction of a new Benefit Administration system.
  • Coordinates and consults on the setup of voluntary insurance products in various systems and requests access for BCInsourcing team members where necessary.
  • Coordinates initial billing setup for voluntary insurance products with client payroll representative and insurance carrier and provides invoices on a regular schedule as applicable.
  • Obtains and reviews all client and carrier resource materials.
  • Creates and maintains client resource guide along with supporting documents from clients and insurance carriers.
  • Coordinates and/or facilitates training for the benefit communications teams and internal administrative teams on all benefit offerings and/or applicable systems for assigned accounts.
  1. Account Service and Support
  • Serves as a liaison between the clients Benefits/Human Resources department employees BCInsourcing and voluntary benefit carriers.
  • Responds timely to phone and email inquiries practicing clear and service-oriented communication and expertise.
  • Participates in client conference calls carrier meetings internal team meetings solicits agenda items maintains meeting minutes within the designated network folder and logs client interactions into the internal Salesforce CRM system.
  • Develops and maintains a detailed understanding and in-depth working knowledge of the benefits and processes of all assigned client accounts.
  • Develops and maintains a detailed understanding of enrollment benefit administration and payroll systems with regard to function interconnectivity and compliance.
  • Maintains client and benefit-related information and documents in various internal systems online resources and electronic files.
  • Creates and maintains a proactive environment by promptly coordinating with appropriate internal and external partners to share pertinent information and when recognizing an accelerated issue or unusual matter to ensure it is resolved thoroughly and accurately.
  • Fosters and maintains effective relationships and rapport with cross-departmental colleagues clients carriers and other external partners.
  • Assists with claims troubleshooting.
  • Supports BCInsourcing internal administration teams and the benefit communications team as needed.
  • Supports and assists the clients Human Resources/Benefits staff to quickly resolve issues concerning voluntary benefits practicing problem-solving and intuitive thinking.
  • Monitors required tasks for assigned accounts to ensure timely completion.
  1. Data Management and Problem Resolution
  • Develops effective and deductive methods for supporting and assisting the clients Human Resources/Benefits staff with processes and issue-resolution.
  • Monitors and reviews multi-client voluntary enrollment data.
  • Conducts ad hoc data analysis and reconciliations.
  • Ensures employee deductions begin on time and remain accurate.
  • Collaborates with the data team insurance carriers and other partners promptly address and resolve issues ensuring solutions align with the best interests of clients insurance carriers and BCInsourcing objectives and compliance guidelines.
  • Prepares and delivers ad hoc reports with detail-mindedness utilizing Salesforce CRM and other systems/resources.
  • Performs regular client/carrier payment reconciliations including troubleshooting and resolving discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate payment to insurance carriers.
  • Assists in troubleshooting and investigating client file errors.
  1. Perform all functions and special tasks/projects/assignments as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  1. Minimum High School Diploma/GED equivalent or equivalent years of subject matter knowledge.
  2. Moderate experience operating in Microsoft Excel worksheets manually including sorting filtering and creating basic formulas (add subtract sum concatenate etc.).
  3. Proven ability to be technically savvy with experience quickly learning adapting to and effectively utilizing unfamiliar systems software and programs.
  4. Proven examples of mathematical and analytical reasoning using critical thinking to solve challenges.
  5. Professional and polished interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated customer service expertise.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure and operate with strict deadlines remaining calm and professional.
  7. Proven experience successfully multitasking and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  8. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels within the corporation.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  1. Associates or Bachelors degree - completed or in process to complete.
  2. Working knowledge of employee benefits including core and/or voluntary products.
  3. Former experience in life-cycle account management.
  4. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets with the ability to create pivot tables and advanced formulas such as vlookups and complex if formulas

Starting Annual Base Salary Range for This Position is $50000 - $52000
This Position Is Also Eligible For Monthly Incentive Pay Based On Meeting Performance Metrics Following 6 months of Active Employment
The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of the salary range for this position. BCInsourcing takes into consideration a combination of the selected candidates skill set experience qualifications licensure and other job-related reasons as it relates to the position. At our Company generally an individual would not be hired at the top of the range of the role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each posting.
