Job Description

Senior Care Practitioner Days. Manor Park Care Home

  • Hours: Full and Part Time roles available
  • Salary: £14.23 per hour
  • Start Date: Early September (exact date TBC)
  • Shift Pattern: 8am-8pm

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Care Practitioner to join our team at the brand-new Manor Park Care Home opening in mid-September in the heart of Malton.

As a Senior Care Practitioner you will play a key leadership role within the care team supporting the delivery of high-quality person-centred care while mentoring and guiding junior colleagues. You’ll be a role model for best practice and help ensure that every resident receives the dignity respect and compassion they deserve.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional personal care and support to residents.
  • Support the Care Team Leader and Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the care floor.
  • Administer medication safely and accurately in line with policies and training.
  • Mentor and support Care Practitioners and new team members.
  • Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing reporting any changes promptly.
  • Maintain accurate care records and contribute to care planning and reviews.
  • Promote a safe clean and welcoming environment in line with health and safety standards.
  • Support residents with daily living activities encouraging independence and engagement.
  • Liaise with families healthcare professionals and external agencies as needed.

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a senior care role within a residential or nursing home setting.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A compassionate proactive and professional approach to care.
  • Confidence in administering medication and using care systems.
