Job Description
The Language Expert (Consultant) will provide specialized linguistic expertise to ensure the accuracy cultural relevance and contextual appropriateness of language used in various documents projects or communications. This role involves translation proofreading editing and providing insights into cultural nuances to maintain consistency and quality across all language-related tasks.
Along with the mDoc leadership team you will cultivate an environment reflecting the values of mDoc Healthcare including respect for our members and team members. You must be data-driven or willing to be data-driven. Given we are a technology firm you will use digital tools to work plan manage projects track predict our success as well as manage our stakeholders. Also given mDoc is a startup there will likely be some fluidity to responsibilities.
Requirements
Translation and Localization:
Translate content from one language to another ensuring accuracy cultural relevance and maintaining the original tone and intent.
Adapt content to suit local cultural and contextual nuances while preserving brand or organizational messaging.
Content Review and Editing:
Proofread and edit written materials to ensure grammatical accuracy clarity and appropriateness.
Review translated materials for consistency and alignment with project or organizational standards.
Linguistic Expertise:
Provide guidance on language usage style and tone for specific audiences or regions.
Offer insights into cultural nuances that may impact communication or understanding.
Ensure terminologies are standardized across all projects and departments.
Training and Support:
Train team members or stakeholders on effective language usage or cultural considerations.
Support language-specific projects such as the development of glossaries style guides and language tools.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including writers designers and developers to ensure linguistic accuracy in content.
Provide timely updates and feedback on language-related project milestones.
Research and Development:
Stay updated on linguistic trends changes in language usage and industry best practices.
Conduct research on linguistic challenges or opportunities relevant to specific projects or audiences.
