Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Manager Purchase
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager Purchase to manage and optimize procurement functions within a manufacturing setup specifically in the lead recycling industry. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of purchasing strategies supplier negotiations and supply chain processes with exposure to both domestic and international vendor networks.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage procurement operations to ensure timely sourcing of raw materials and services.
Develop and maintain a strong vendor base (domestic and international) negotiate commercial terms and ensure best value procurement.
Gain and apply extensive technical knowledge of materials specific to the lead recycling/manufacturing industry.
Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities for cost-effective sourcing.
Evaluate vendor performance regularly to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production quality and logistics to ensure supply chain efficiency.
Prepare periodic procurement reports dashboards and presentations for senior management review.
Implement best practices in sourcing and procurement aligned with industry standards.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
Mentor and guide the purchase team fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in any discipline (preferably in Supply Chain Management Commerce or Engineering).
Additional certifications in Procurement/Supply Chain (e.g. CPP CPSM CSCP) would be an added advantage.
Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a mid to senior-level purchase role preferably in a manufacturing or industrial sector.
Proven track record in vendor development and supply chain optimization.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Sound understanding of technical specifications and commercial procurement.
Proficient in using ERP systems and procurement software.
Excellent communication reporting and presentation skills.
Leadership qualities and team management capabilities.
High level of integrity and business ethics.
Proactive analytical and solution-oriented approach.
