We are hiring on behalf of a global MNC in the maritime industry with a well-established presence across Asia and Europe. The company is known for delivering excellence in ship construction and vessel conversion projects across the region. As part of their growing Projects team we are looking to hire a Technical Assistant to support the Newbuilding and Conversion Projects division. Based in Mumbai this role plays an important coordination function in plan approval processes documentation and stakeholder communication for large-scale international maritime projects.


Technical Assistant New Building and Conversion Project s

(Based in Mumbai India)

Your Role: In this role you will provide administrative and technical support for the successful execution of newbuilding and conversion projects. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate plan submissions approvals documentation and reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically inclined professional looking to gain project exposure in a world-class maritime organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and support the plan approval process for newbuilding and vessel conversion projects.
  • Coordinate with internal departments including engineering planning procurement legal and external stakeholders to manage documentation and resolve queries.
  • Maintain detailed records of plan submissions revisions approvals and correspondence.
  • Track and report approval status highlight issues and follow up on resolutions.
  • Identify discrepancies or gaps in submitted plans and assist in closing them with relevant parties.
  • Serve as the key contact point for queries relating to plan approval documentation and process updates.
  • Assist in procurement coordination and logistics support related to project execution.


Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in plan approval project coordination or documentation support in newbuilding or conversion projects is highly desirable.
  • Well-organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service orientation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with documentation and reporting tools.
