Join our team as an Electronics and Controls Technician and play a critical hands-on role supporting building and maintaining the electronic systems that power our production and R&D operations.
In this role youll combine your technical expertise in electronics instrumentation and automation to support both manufacturing and experimental equipment. Youll wire and assemble custom control panels configure and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs integrate sensors and actuators and contribute to equipment improvements in collaboration with engineers and scientists. This position offers a dynamic mix of tasks and the opportunity to work on real-world control systems from concept to maintenance.
What Youll Do
Design build and modify custom electronic control panels and enclosures
Wire and integrate sensors actuators and other control hardware into production equipment
Troubleshoot and repair automation systems including PLCs HMIs VFDs and low-voltage circuits
Support the development and maintenance of control logic and automation routines
Collaborate with engineers and R&D teams on setup and testing of prototype equipment
Calibrate and maintain instrumentation such as temperature pressure and flow sensors
Read and interpret schematics and technical documentation to guide installation and repair
Perform preventative maintenance on control systems and facility instrumentation
Assist with basic electronics work across the facility as needed
Contribute to the upkeep of facility infrastructure and grounds by assisting with general maintenance tasks as needed in coordination with the Maintenance team
Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
Maintain clear documentation of wiring layouts control changes and panel configurations
What You Bring
Education & Credentials
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree in Electronics Instrumentation and Controls or related field preferred
Additional certifications in PLCs automation or industrial controls are a plus
Experience & Technical Skills
3 years of experience working with electronic systems controls or instrumentation in a manufacturing or lab environment
Strong understanding of control wiring low-voltage circuits and industrial automation
Hands-on experience with PLCs HMIs sensors and VFDs
Familiarity with signal types such as 420 mA RTDs and thermocouples
Ability to read and interpret schematics wiring diagrams and P&IDs
Comfort using basic programming tools and Microsoft Office applications
Additional Requirements
Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs or more spend extended periods on your feet and work in loud hot or cold environments
English language competency (speaking comprehension reading and writing) commensurate with job duties
Reliable transportation to maintain regular attendance and travel to local Incom facilities as required
Must be able to pass E-Verify pre-employment background checks and a 9-panel drug test
