Brief Job Overview
This is a professional individual contributor position that will be part of the Healthcare Quality & Safety (HQS) Center of Excellence. This role will be responsible for contributing to the development of current and future educational material that supports the HQS education portfolio. This includes partnership and collaboration with documentary scientists in the Healthcare Quality and Safety team and USP education team to establish education material on key topics such as pharmacogenomics compounding health literacy medication safety and other emerging areas. This individual will ensure material is available to drive and sustain outreach to key stakeholders at conferences through direct engagement webpages and through other media to promote adoption of HQS standards and solutions.

The Senior Scientist II Healthcare Quality & Safety Education has the following responsibilities:
Lead the planning and coordination of the educational material including course materials and curriculum design to support the standard setting activities of the four HQS expert committees (Personalized Medicine; Healthcare Information & Technology; Healthcare Safety Quality and Nomenclature; and Compounding).
Identify opportunities for the development and delivery of educational materials and other deliverables to external stakeholders on current and future HQS related standards and solutions.
Participate in the conceptualization and design of education models that promote medication safety in all aspects of the medication management process.
Revise content to meet stakeholder needs and expanded areas of impact.
Participates in the development and implementation of enhanced education initiatives for stakeholder engagements on standards solutions such as open stakeholder forums workshops roundtable discussions trainings and other continuous education events and offerings.
Assist in the development of research summaries concept papers stimuli articles and other position papers related to HQS work.
Analyze and interpret educational data and material for improvement and new offerings.
Assist in the engagement evaluation and trending of participants feedback.
Who is USP Looking For
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders along with the following competencies and experience:
Degree in pharmacy medicine nursing or science or relevant field with no less than 8 years of relevant experience in the healthcare or consumer products industry.
Minimum of 5 years educator experience in a community or institutional setting.
Additional Desired Preferences
Knowledge of existing guidelines and requirements for continuous education.
Familiaity with Learning Management Systems.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel PowerPoint.
Project management experience.
Ability to effectively prioritize and efficiently manage multiple activities.
Ability to operate independently where appropriate yet understand when to escalate issues and how to establish effective working relationships in a team setting.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal communications.
Excellent writing and presentation development skills.
Strong attention to detail.

Compensation
Base Salary Range: USD $130250.00 $164750.00 annually.
Target Annual Bonus: % Varies based on level of role.
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidates skill set experience qualifications equity and other job-related reasons.
