Position Overview
The organization is seeking a versatile and forward-thinking AI Engineer to join our team at Eurofins Food Chemistry Testing in Madison. This role will lead the advancement and implementation of artificial intelligence solutions across a wide range of operational and scientific functions. This position presents an opportunity to contribute to the strategic evolution of AI integration in a dynamic laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Solution Development: Design develop and deploy AI/ML models to support client service automation electronic order processing and laboratory data analytics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI opportunities.
- IT & Security Coordination: Work closely with local and global IT teams to ensure AI tools meet security and compliance standards.
- Project Leadership: Lead or contribute to AI initiatives from ideation through implementation including proof-of-concept development and performance evaluation.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging AI technologies and propose tools or methodologies that can enhance productivity and innovation across the lab.
- Communication & Influence: Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making without formal authority.

Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Data Science Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in AI/ML development preferably in a scientific healthcare or operational setting.
- Proficiency in Python and common ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow PyTorch scikit-learn).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate autonomously and within cross-functional teams.
- Superior communication abilities and a demonstrated history of cross-functional teamwork.
Preferred:
- Experience with AI applications in customer service order processing or laboratory operations.
- Familiarity with ML-Ops practices and deployment of AI models in production environments.
- Exposure to natural language processing (NLP) computer vision or data mining techniques.
